My theory of why Dean did not have Castiel’s hand print…
It seems like this has been going around and I feel like putting my two cents in.
This is how I see it…
Two very important figures in his life left him high and dry. Despite the terms, it’s going to hurt any way you slice it. We saw Dean had covered up everything that reminded him of his previous life — the Impala, his old clothes, weapons, and so on. Castiel’s hand print is another one of those items.
Now even though Sam is back in his life, things aren’t rollin’ like they used to. Right and left he’s gettin’ burned by his younger brother’s remarks, behavior, and choices. This is causing his subconscious to continue to rebel. Something similar to liking someone and finding out they don’t feel the same way, so you run to the next person on your list in order to prove to yourself that you’re wanted and you don’t need that other person.
There’s no reason that I can see why Dean would dream with Castiel’s print on him. It would just be holding onto a sore memory. It also looks as though the pentagram is not there. I suppose it could be argued that the sheet is covering it, but then again that just seems to prove more that he’s cutting that connection with Sam.
We could also go to the extreme extent that Lisa had him remove or continuously cover up those markings. Or perhaps Dean just prefers a flawless arm over an angel’s bitch reminder.
Like most theories I and other’s make based off this show, I think it just boils down to whatever pleases you best. I’m not saying I’m the correct one here or that my idea is better, I’m just offering an opinion. So keep those jets on cool, folks.

I’m not tryin’ to trash him, I mean I think he’s a cool character — But, I’m sorry. I expected him to drop the f-bomb every other word when he was playin’ verbal ping-pong with Cas. And then when he turned Raph into salt, I was like dude… just season somthin’ already, damn.
Sam: “So what, you like him better or somethin’?”
Castiel: “Dean and I do share a more profound bond.” … “I wasn’t gonna mention it.”
Uh, basically I see this conversation more like:
“Dean and I do share a more profound bond — as often as we can on rooftops, in the park… the passenger seat of the Impala…” …which would explain the >:0 look on Sam’s face.
Castiel is ashamed of his brothers…
So upon Dean hearing that, I’m sure he had to feel a little uncomfortable himself for how strange his own brother has been acting. I mean, he looked back at Sam and the expression on his face was kinda like “Ya… know what you mean. Puh.” Least that’s how I caught it.
So, with that, this blog will be leaning towards Destiel for a little while. ‘Cause seriously… I am so fucking beyond ecstatic to have Cas back. The angel balances me, no joke. Plus I’m getting too twisted watching the frustration Dean is feeling with Sam.
On a side note… I just have to give kudos to the Angel Columbo.

Since this is a Wincest related blog, I gotta throw some in there. So the porno scenario here would be Dean searching through his tool box. Sam comes in through the door, approaches Dean from behind who is grumbling about a missing tool. Maybe it’s one of John’s, causing Dean to have a fit. Sam offers to find the missing tool, hates seeing his brother in distress and attempts to get his mind off the situation by finding the tool in Dean’s jeans instead.
There’s a chance I could write a wincest fic about this…
